A client had seen a wooden gothic garden bench we had made in a magazine which wasn’t on our website (there are many!). It had been for a bench in a rectory and the design of the backrest picked up on the arches of the next door church.
We designed this bench to again feature the gothic arches as the backrest making sure it was still comfortable with the horizontal rail.
The bench was handmade using windfallen sweet chestnut and oak, the arches were cut by eye following the grain of the chestnut to give a formal yet rustic feel to the wooden gothic garden bench.
