These oak & wrought iron gates were a commission from a landscape architect replacing their original gates and reusing the metalwork. They are a more formal Oak Pedestrian Garden Gate design than we usually design and make, with wrought iron metalwork as opposed to our hand made metal hinges using mild steel. This project also features an entrance gate in Oak, with a pedestrian entrance.
We worked in collaboration with the client, both sketching designs with an influence from the original gates to design and make these Oak & wrought iron gates.
Original wrought iron hinges (dating back to the turn of the century) from the old gates have been refurbished and used on the garden gate. With new metalwork, picking up on the original design, to finish the entrance gate with pedestrian entrance and an additional pedestrian gate.
