Following an article in Country Living in May 2008, we were approached by Michelle Wake of Greenwave Design. Michelle was designing a show garden, part of the Future Gardens exhibition at the Butterfly World project.

Michelle visited and showed us the plans for her garden, Ed Brooks then set to work to find the perfect tree to provide naturalitic and yet sculptural seats and benches for the garden.
A huge windfallen Ash, complete with rotted out centre and a big wasps nest was located, hauled back to the workshop and worked upon for hours by chainsaw.
The smaller pieces were delivered to site and were arranged within the breathtaking garden. The collaboration was a success and a pleasure, so much so that David Bellamy, one of the Show’s patrons, was one of the first to test the seats.
