One of our more unique commissions was received in spring 2008, courtesy of Martin Young of Sitting Spiritually, makers of oak swingseats.
We were asked to collaborate to make a bench for the children of a christian Primary School. The inspiration had come to the head teacher when viewing Albrecht Durers praying hands.
We went in search of large pieces of oak, to allow us to carve each intricate hand, many hours were spent with a variety of chainsaws, and the hands slowly began to take shape. Once happy, we fitted the seat.
With Martin Young we delivered the seat to the school and assembled it.
The reaction of the teachers and the children was amazing, and we hope that the seat is getting plenty of use by the children.
