This gate is located in a garden with views of the Sea, driftwood was the inspiration, sweet chestnut was split or cleft, and sanded. upcycled steel or iron was weaved through the bespoke organic chestnut and acted as hinges and latch catch.

The hand crafted gate has a magical appearance, cleft sweet chestnut and iron work work so well together visually, and the chestnut garden gate was constructed to compliment both materials. This wooden gate could be made from sweet chestnut or other hardwoods such as english oak. Ed Brooks Furniture obtains wood sustainably locally and often from our own woodland.
