A commission came in for an organic slatted garden bench similar to one of our previous sweet chestnut garden benches with organic split backrest slats.
The bench was handmade using tenon and mortice joints for the legs and frame. The slats were set into the backrest for comfort and aesthetics.
We delivered the bench at such a lovely time of year with the daisys in bloom.
The bench was left to weather naturally to a silver grey. Sweet chestnut is a durable timber and will last for years outdoors.
However, a treatment can be applied to lengthen the life even further, so please ask for details.
