Organic timber bridge
This project was extremely enjoyable and even more organic in approach than we usually do. An estimate was given and an idea of the the type or bridge to be built. Once agreed, we searched for the perfect pieces of timber for the undulating nature of the bridge. A mix of timbers were used for the posts in the lake, the rails and the ballustrades and handrail. Finished off with metalwork railings, all following the flow of the bridges natural movement across the lake. We adapted the design so that it was not to busy, and allowed the beauty of the surroundings not to be overpowered by the bridge.
The bridge will have gates halfway along, allowing people to jump off into the lake and have a swim. And we will be making more gates on the property with linked design elements to tie them all together.
